A little about me.

The less linear parts of the path explain more than a conventional résumé ever could.

I learned early to find structure inside uncertainty.

I attended 11 schools and spent part of my childhood in foster care. At 18, I became my younger brother’s legal guardian.

I completed 3 majors at Pitzer in 3 years, then spent 27 months in Jordan. I learned Arabic and made roughly 180 home visits with Iraqi, Sudanese, and Syrian families.

A few things that have stayed with me.

  • I’ve run marathons in San Francisco, Santa Rosa, Seattle and Yellowknife in Canada’s Northwest Territories.
  • I completed a 10-day silent meditation retreat in Israel.
  • I bungee jumped from a 20-story bridge south of Mt. St. Helens.
  • I skydived over Jordan’s Wadi Rum through the Royal Aero Sports Club.
  • I share a deep love for the Pacific Northwest with my wife.
